“You have not lived today until you have done something for someone who can never repay you”

These are the words of the writer John Bunyan (1628-1688) and they have never been more apt. The motivation behind the work we do is to help the ever-increasing number of animals and people who need our help, however small our contribution may be.

Instead of leaving this to others and feeling that what we do is just a drop in the ocean, we should believe in the rest of the quote by Mother Teresa (1910-1997) that “The ocean would be less because of that missing drop”.

We accept we are only ever going to make a tiny impact but to the animal or person who is saved, or healed, it is a significant difference. “Whoever saves one life saves the world entire” should be everyone’s motto.

We are grateful to both our contributors, who give up their time and money so willingly and to the organisations we donate to for their selfless and hard work in making a difference to deserving sentient and suffering creatures.

We are grateful to both our contributors, who give up their time and money so willingly and to the organisations we donate to for their selfless and hard work in making a difference to deserving sentient and suffering creatures.

We give grants to organisations which benefit animals, the environment and those patients in any country who require medical treatment that cannot be obtained by the usual means and methods.

All funds and donations (both financial and medical) received by the RPT are allocated in full to charitable causes and organisations.

We expect such organisations to allocate any funds received, however small the amount, to the purpose that the organisation was founded for and as per their acceptance of the previous point.

We reserve the right to follow up with any organisation, whatever their size, who benefit from a grant, however small, to ensure that the funds are being put to the purpose that they were allocated.

Organisations do not need to be registered as charities provided that they are not for profit, not subject to UK tax rules and that the purpose they are applying for a grant is charitable and will benefit animals, the environment or deserving patients, as per the Objects of the RPT’s constitution.

We do not provide funding to any organisation, however deserving, for the advancement of religion, involvement in political activities of any kind, or non-medical/surgical based human welfare.
